Component of the CENPA-NAC (nucleosome-associated)complex, a complex that plays a central role in assembly ofkinetochore proteins, mitotic progression and chromosomesegregation. The CENPA-NAC complex recruits the CENPA-CAD(nucleosome distal) complex and may be involved in incorporationof newly synthesized CENPA into centromeres. CENPC recruits DNAmethylation and DNMT3B to both centromeric and pericentromericsatellite repeats and regulates the histone code in these regions.{ECO:0000269|PubMed:19482874, ECO:0000269|PubMed:21529714}. In BCR signaling, appears to function as a dockingprotein acting downstream of TEC and participates in a positivefeedback loop by increasing the activity of TEC.{ECO:0000269|PubMed:10518561}.
