Transcription factor that binds specifically to the DRE(dual repressor element) and represses HTR1A gene transcription inneuronal cells. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:19423080}. Acts as a transcriptional repressor of the GATA3promoter. Sequence-specific DNA-binding factor that binds to the5'-AGGTCTC-3' sequence within the negative cis-acting elementintronic regulatory region (IRR) of the GATA3 gene (Bysimilarity).
