Acts as a mediator of epithelial dynamics and organbranching by promoting cleft progression. Induced followingaccumulation of fibronectin in forming clefts, leading to localexpression of the cell-scattering SNAIL2 and suppression of E-cadherin levels, thereby altering cell morphology and reducingcell-cell adhesion. This stimulates cell separation at the base offorming clefts by local, dynamic intercellular gap formation andpromotes cleft progression (By similarity). {ECO:0000250}. E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase which is a component of theN-end rule pathway. Recognizes and binds to proteins bearingspecific N-terminal residues that are destabilizing according tothe N-end rule, leading to their ubiquitination and subsequentdegradation. {ECO:0000250}.
