Tubulin is the major constituent of microtubules. Itbinds two moles of GTP, one at an exchangeable site on the betachain and one at a non-exchangeable site on the alpha chain. TUBB3plays a critical role in proper axon guidance and mantainance.{ECO:0000269|PubMed:20074521}. Binds IGF-I and IGF-II with a relatively low affinity.Stimulates prostacyclin (PGI2) production.
