Main function of each fusion partner protein. (from UniProt) |
Hgene | Tgene |
TEX14 | SDK2 |
Required both for the formation of intercellular bridgesduring meiosis and for kinetochore-microtubule attachment duringmitosis. Intercellular bridges are evolutionarily conservedstructures that connect differentiating germ cells and arerequired for spermatogenesis and male fertility. Acts by promotingthe conversion of midbodies into intercellular bridges via itsinteraction with CEP55: interaction with CEP55 inhibits theinteraction between CEP55 and PDCD6IP/ALIX and TSG101, blockingcell abscission and leading to transform midbodies intointercellular bridges. Also plays a role during mitosis: recruitedto kinetochores by PLK1 during early mitosis and regulates thematuration of the outer kinetochores and microtubule attachment.Has no protein kinase activity in vitro (By similarity).{ECO:0000250}. | Adhesion molecule that promotes lamina-specific synapticconnections in the retina and is specifically required for theformation of neuronal circuits that detect motion. Acts bypromoting formation of synapses between two specific retinal celltypes: the retinal ganglion cells W3B-RGCs and the excitatoryamacrine cells VG3-ACs. Formation of synapses between these twocells plays a key role in detection of motion. Promotes synapticconnectivity via homophilic interactions.{ECO:0000250|UniProtKB:Q6V4S5}. |
Retention analysis result of each fusion partner protein across 39 protein features of UniProt such as six molecule processing features, 13 region features, four site features, six amino acid modification features, two natural variation features, five experimental info features, and 3 secondary structure features. Here, because of limited space for viewing, we only show the protein feature retention information belong to the 13 regional features. All retention annotation result can be downloaded at . * Minus value of BPloci means that the break pointn is located before the CDS. |
