Mediates endoplasmic reticulum to Golgi transport.Together with p115/USO1 and GM130/GOLGA2, involved in vesicletethering and fusion at the cis-Golgi membrane to maintain thestacked and inter-connected structure of the Golgi apparatus.{ECO:0000250|UniProtKB:Q08851}. Functions as a component of the PCAF complex. The PCAFcomplex is capable of efficiently acetylating histones in anucleosomal context. The PCAF complex could be considered as thehuman version of the yeast SAGA complex.
