Probable phosphoinositide-binding protein involved inprotein sorting and membrane trafficking in endosomes. Plays arole in cilium biogenesis through regulation of the transport andthe localization of proteins to the cilium. Required for thelocalization to the cilium of V-ATPase subunit ATP6V1D andATP6V0D1, and RAB8A. Involved in osteoclast differentiation andtherefore bone resorption. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:17012226,ECO:0000269|PubMed:21844891, ECO:0000269|PubMed:22499339}. Cell surface receptor for PLXNB1, PLXNB2, PLXNB3 andPLXND1 that plays an important role in cell-cell signaling. Playsa role in priming antigen-specific T-cells, promotesdifferentiation of Th1 T-helper cells, and thereby contributes toadaptive immunity. Promotes phosphorylation of TIMD2. Inhibitsangiogenesis. Promotes axon growth cone collapse. Inhibits axonalextension by providing local signals to specify territoriesinaccessible for growing axons (By similarity).{ECO:0000250|UniProtKB:Q62178}.
