Lectin that binds to various sugars: galactose > mannose= fucose > N-acetylglucosamine > N-acetylgalactosamine(PubMed:10224141). Acts as a chemoattractant, probably involved inthe regulation of cell migration (PubMed:28301481).{ECO:0000269|PubMed:10224141, ECO:0000269|PubMed:28301481}. Transport of phosphorylated lysosomal enzymes from theGolgi complex and the cell surface to lysosomes. Lysosomal enzymesbearing phosphomannosyl residues bind specifically to mannose-6-phosphate receptors in the Golgi apparatus and the resultingreceptor-ligand complex is transported to an acidic prelyosomalcompartment where the low pH mediates the dissociation of thecomplex. This receptor also binds IGF2. Acts as a positiveregulator of T-cell coactivation, by binding DPP4.{ECO:0000269|PubMed:10900005}.
