Steroid hormone receptors are ligand-activatedtranscription factors that regulate eukaryotic gene expression andaffect cellular proliferation and differentiation in targettissues. Transcription factor activity is modulated by boundcoactivator and corepressor proteins. Transcription activation isdown-regulated by NR0B2.
