Probable transcription factor likely to be involved inearly steps in the differentiation of amacrine and ganglion cells.Recognizes and binds to the DNA sequence 5'-ATGCAAAT-3'. Isoform 1does not bind DNA. Removes the secondary (acyloxyacyl-linked) fatty acylchains from the lipid A region of bacterial lipopolysaccharides(PubMed:1883828, PubMed:8089145, PubMed:29343645). By breakingdown LPS, terminates the host response to bacterial infection andprevents prolonged and damaging inflammatory responses (Bysimilarity).
