Binds specifically to phosphatidylinositol 3,4-diphosphate (PtdIns3,4P2), but not to other phosphoinositides. Mayrecruit other proteins to the plasma membrane (By similarity).{ECO:0000250}. Testis-specific potassium channel activated by bothintracellular pH and membrane voltage that mediates export ofK(+). May represent the primary spermatozoan K(+) current. Incontrast to KCNMA1/SLO1, it is not activated by Ca(2+) or Mg(2+).Critical for fertility.
