Phosphatidylinositol transfer proteins mediate themonomeric transport of lipids by shielding a lipid from theaqueous environment and binding the lipid in a hydrophobic cavity.Able to transfer phosphatidylinositol in vitro.{ECO:0000269|PubMed:10531358}. Lectin that binds to various sugars: galactose > mannose= fucose > N-acetylglucosamine > N-acetylgalactosamine(PubMed:10224141).
