GBAP1

Regulator of pre-B-cell leukemia transcription factors(BPXs) function. Inhibits the binding of PBX1-HOX complex to DNAand blocks the transcriptional activity of E2A-PBX1. Tethersestrogen receptor-alpha (ESR1) to microtubules and allows them toinfluence estrogen receptors-alpha signaling.{ECO:0000269|PubMed:10825160, ECO:0000269|PubMed:12360403,ECO:0000269|PubMed:17043237}. Lectin that binds to various sugars: galactose > mannose= fucose > N-acetylglucosamine > N-acetylgalactosamine(PubMed:10224141). Acts as a chemoattractant, probably involved inthe regulation of cell migration (PubMed:28301481).{ECO:0000269|PubMed:10224141, ECO:0000269|PubMed:28301481}.
