Cleaves a beta-phosphate from the diphosphate groups inPP-InsP5 (diphosphoinositol pentakisphosphate) and [PP]2-InsP4(bisdiphosphoinositol tetrakisphosphate), suggesting that it mayplay a role in signal transduction. InsP6 (inositolhexakisphophate) is not a substrate. Acts as a negative regulatorof the ERK1/2 pathway. Also able to catalyze the hydrolysis ofdinucleoside oligophosphates, with Ap6A and Ap5A being thepreferred substrates. The major reaction products are ADP and p4afrom Ap6A and ADP and ATP from Ap5A. Also able to hydrolyze 5-phosphoribose 1-diphosphate. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:9822604}. | Plays a role in cell attachment and migration. Interactswith extracellular matrix proteins and with the actincytoskeleton. Mediates adhesion of cells to type 1 collagen andgelatin, reorganization of the actin cytoskeleton and promotescell spreading. Plays a role in the angiogenic response ofcultured umbilical vein endothelial cells.{ECO:0000269|PubMed:15777794, ECO:0000269|PubMed:16762926}. |
