The JNK-interacting protein (JIP) group of scaffoldproteins selectively mediates JNK signaling by aggregatingspecific components of the MAPK cascade to form a functional JNKsignaling module. Plays a role in cell attachment and migration. Interactswith extracellular matrix proteins and with the actincytoskeleton.
