Calcium-activated chloride channel (CaCC) which plays arole in transepithelial anion transport and smooth musclecontraction. Required for the normal functioning of theinterstitial cells of Cajal (ICCs) which generate electricalpacemaker activity in gastrointestinal smooth muscles.
