Alsoserves as an alternate accessory protein to the common cytokinereceptor gamma chain for interleukin-4 (IL4) signaling, but cannotreplace the function of IL2RG in allowing enhanced interleukin-2(IL2) binding activity. Guanine nucleotide-exchange factor (GEF) that activatesCDC42 by exchanging bound GDP for free GTP. Required for marginalzone (MZ) B-cell development, is associated with early bone marrowB-cell development, MZ B-cell formation, MZ B-cell number andmarginal metallophilic macrophages morphology. Facilitatesfilopodia formation through the activation of CDC42.{ECO:0000250|UniProtKB:A2AF47}.
