Alpha-L-fucosidase is responsible for hydrolyzing thealpha-1,6-linked fucose joined to the reducing-end N-acetylglucosamine of the carbohydrate moieties of glycoproteins. TRAP proteins are part of a complex whose function is tobind calcium to the ER membrane and thereby regulate the retentionof ER resident proteins.
