May activate CDC42, a member of the Ras-like family ofRho- and Rac proteins, by exchanging bound GDP for free GTP. Mayplay a role in regulating the actin cytoskeleton and cell shape(By similarity). {ECO:0000250}. Component of the Nup107-160 subcomplex of the nuclearpore complex (NPC). The Nup107-160 subcomplex is required for theassembly of a functional NPC. The Nup107-160 subcomplex is alsorequired for normal kinetochore microtubule attachment, mitoticprogression and chromosome segregation.{ECO:0000269|PubMed:17363900}.
