Extracts misfolded glycoproteins, but not glycoproteinsundergoing productive folding, from the calnexin cycle. It isdirectly involved in endoplasmic reticulum-associated degradation(ERAD) and targets misfolded glycoproteins for degradation in anN-glycan-independent manner, probably by forming a complex withSEL1L.
