DOK proteins are enzymatically inert adaptor orscaffolding proteins. They provide a docking platform for theassembly of multimolecular signaling complexes. DOK5 functions inRET-mediated neurite outgrowth and plays a positive role inactivation of the MAP kinase pathway. Putative link withdownstream effectors of RET in neuronal differentiation. Facilitative glucose transporter. This isoform may beresponsible for constitutive or basal glucose uptake.
