MYO7B

Q6PIF6

Thiol protease which is believed to participate inintracellular degradation and turnover of proteins. Has also beenimplicated in tumor invasion and metastasis. Myosins are actin-based motor molecules with ATPaseactivity. Their highly divergent tails are presumed to bind tomembranous compartments, which would be moved relative to actinfilaments. As part of the intermicrovillar adhesion complex/IMACplays a role in epithelial brush border differentiation, controlling microvilli organization and length. May link thecomplex to the actin core bundle of microvilli (Probable).{ECO:0000305|PubMed:24725409, ECO:0000305|PubMed:26812018}.
