FusionProtFeatures for CTIF_PSTPIP2 |
Main function of each fusion partner protein. (from UniProt) |
Hgene | Tgene |
CTIF | PSTPIP2 |
Specifically required for the pioneer round of mRNAtranslation mediated by the cap-binding complex (CBC), that takesplace during or right after mRNA export via the nuclear porecomplex (NPC). Acts via its interaction with the NCBP1/CBP80component of the CBC complex and recruits the 40S small subunit ofthe ribosome via eIF3. In contrast, it is not involved in steadystate translation, that takes place when the CBC complex isreplaced by cytoplasmic cap-binding protein eIF4E. Also requiredfor nonsense-mediated mRNA decay (NMD), the pioneer round of mRNAtranslation mediated by the cap-binding complex playing a centralrole in nonsense-mediated mRNA decay (NMD).{ECO:0000269|PubMed:19648179}. | Binds to F-actin. May be involved in regulation of theactin cytoskeleton (By similarity). {ECO:0000250}. |
Retention analysis result of each fusion partner protein across 39 protein features of UniProt such as six molecule processing features, 13 region features, four site features, six amino acid modification features, two natural variation features, five experimental info features, and 3 secondary structure features. Here, because of limited space for viewing, we only show the protein feature retention information belong to the 13 regional features. All retention annotation result can be downloaded at . * Minus value of BPloci means that the break pointn is located before the CDS. |
