ATPIF1

May play an important role in the regulation of lymphomacell growth. Interacts with a 16-kDa Leu-13 protein to form acomplex possibly involved in signal transduction. May act as theviral receptor for HCV. (Microbial infection) Acts as a receptor for hepatitis Cvirus (HCV) in hepatocytes. Associates with CLDN1 and the CLDN1-CD81 receptor complex is essential for HCV entry into host cell.{ECO:0000269|PubMed:20375010, ECO:0000269|PubMed:21516087}. Lectin that binds to various sugars: galactose > mannose= fucose > N-acetylglucosamine > N-acetylgalactosamine(PubMed:10224141). Acts as a chemoattractant, probably involved inthe regulation of cell migration (PubMed:28301481).{ECO:0000269|PubMed:10224141, ECO:0000269|PubMed:28301481}.
