Mitochondrial intermembrane chaperone that participatesin the import and insertion of multi-pass transmembrane proteinsinto the mitochondrial inner membrane. May also be required forthe transfer of beta-barrel precursors from the TOM complex to thesorting and assembly machinery (SAM complex) of the outermembrane.
