Specifically hydrolyzes 'Lys-29'-linked and 'Lys-33'-linked diubiquitin. Also cleaves 'Lys-63'-linked chains, but with40-fold less efficiency compared to 'Lys-29'-linked ones. Positiveregulator of the Wnt signaling pathway that deubiquitinates APCprotein, a negative regulator of Wnt-mediated transcription. Playsa role in the regulation of cell morphology and cytoskeletalorganization. Required in the stress fiber dynamics and cellmigration. May also modulate TNF-alpha signaling.{ECO:0000269|PubMed:18281465, ECO:0000269|PubMed:21834987,ECO:0000269|PubMed:22157957, ECO:0000269|PubMed:23827681}. Catalyzes palmitoylation of Cys residues on targetproteins (PubMed:27153536, PubMed:29326245). Catalyzespalmitoylation of Cys residues in the cytoplasmic C-terminus ofEGFR, and modulates the duration of EGFR signaling by modulatingpalmitoylation-dependent EGFR internalization and degradation(PubMed:27153536). Has a preference for acyl-CoA with C16 fattyacid chains (PubMed:29326245). Can also utilize acyl-CoA with C14and C18 fatty acid chains (PubMed:29326245).{ECO:0000269|PubMed:27153536, ECO:0000269|PubMed:29326245}.
