Subunit of the trimeric poly(A) tail exosome targeting(PAXT) complex, a complex that directs a subset of long andpolyadenylated poly(A) RNAs for exosomal degradation. The RNAexosome is fundamental for the degradation of RNA in eukaryoticnuclei. Substrate targeting is facilitated by its cofactor MTREX,which links to RNA-binding protein adapters.{ECO:0000269|PubMed:27871484}. Sequesters mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs)such as MAPK1, MAPK3 and MAPK14 in the cytoplasm in an inactiveform. The MAPKs bind to a dephosphorylated kinase interactingmotif, phosphorylation of which by the protein kinase A complexreleases the MAPKs for activation and translocation into thenucleus (By similarity). {ECO:0000250}.
