Chromatin reader component of the ATAC complex, acomplex with histone acetyltransferase activity on histones H3 andH4. YEATS2 specifically recognizes and binds histone H3crotonylated at 'Lys-27' (H3K27cr) (PubMed:27103431).Crotonylation marks active promoters and enhancers and confersresistance to transcriptional repressors (PubMed:27103431).{ECO:0000269|PubMed:18838386, ECO:0000269|PubMed:19103755,ECO:0000269|PubMed:27103431}. Catalytic component of a P4-ATPase flippase complexwhich catalyzes the hydrolysis of ATP coupled to the transport ofaminophospholipids from the outer to the inner leaflet of variousmembranes and ensures the maintenance of asymmetric distributionof phospholipids. Phospholipid translocation seems also to beimplicated in vesicle formation and in uptake of lipid signalingmolecules (Probable). Involved in regulation of sensitivity tocisplatin; may contribute to secretory vesicle transport ofcisplatin from Golgi to plasma membrane.{ECO:0000269|PubMed:23585472, ECO:0000305}.
