Gamma-tubulin complex is necessary for microtubulenucleation at the centrosome. Guanine nucleotide-binding proteins (G proteins)function as transducers in numerous signaling pathways controlledby G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). Signaling involves theactivation of adenylyl cyclases, resulting in increased levels ofthe signaling molecule cAMP. GNAS functions downstream of severalGPCRs, including beta-adrenergic receptors.
