Regulates maturation and trafficking of thetransmembrane metalloprotease ADAM10 (PubMed:26668317,PubMed:23035126, PubMed:26686862). Negatively regulates ADAM10-mediated cleavage of GP6 (By similarity). Promotes ADAM10-mediatedcleavage of CDH5 (By similarity). {ECO:0000250|UniProtKB:Q8QZY6,ECO:0000269|PubMed:23035126, ECO:0000269|PubMed:26668317,ECO:0000269|PubMed:26686862}. Forms a channel through the mitochondrial outer membranethat allows diffusion of small hydrophilic molecules. The channeladopts an open conformation at low or zero membrane potential anda closed conformation at potentials above 30-40 mV. The open statehas a weak anion selectivity whereas the closed state is cation-selective.
