May play a role in actin remodeling. Involved in thedissociation of the integrin-tensin-actin complex. EGF activatesTNS4 and down-regulates TNS3 which results in capping the tail ofITGB1. Seems to be involved in mammary cell migration. May beinvolved in cell migration and bone development (By similarity).{ECO:0000250, ECO:0000269|PubMed:17643115}. As a probable component of the LINC (LInker ofNucleoskeleton and Cytoskeleton) complex, involved in theconnection between the nuclear lamina and the cytoskeleton. Thenucleocytoplasmic interactions established by the LINC complexplay an important role in the transmission of mechanical forcesacross the nuclear envelope and in nuclear movement andpositioning. May be involved in nuclear remodeling during spermhead formation in spermatogenenis. A probable SUN3:SYNE1 LINCcomplex may tether spermatid nuclei to posterior cytoskeletalstructures such as the manchette. {ECO:0000250|UniProtKB:Q5SS91}.
