Plays a role in cytotoxic granule exocytosis inlymphocytes. Required for both granule maturation and granuledocking and priming at the immunologic synapse.{ECO:0000269|PubMed:18812475}. Lectin that binds to various sugars: galactose > mannose= fucose > N-acetylglucosamine > N-acetylgalactosamine(PubMed:10224141).
