Involved in the maturation of Asn-linkedoligosaccharides. Progressively trim alpha-1,2-linked mannoseresidues from Man(9)GlcNAc(2) to produce Man(5)GlcNAc(2). Inhibits the binding of prostaglandin F2-alpha (PGF2-alpha) to its specific FP receptor, by decreasing the receptornumber rather than the affinity constant. Functional coupling withthe prostaglandin F2-alpha receptor seems to occur (Bysimilarity). {ECO:0000250}.
