Main function of each fusion partner protein. (from UniProt) |
Hgene | Tgene |
MAFF | STK16 |
Since they lack a putative transactivation domain, thesmall Mafs behave as transcriptional repressors when they dimerizeamong themselves (PubMed:8932385). However, they seem to serve astranscriptional activators by dimerizing with other (usuallylarger) basic-zipper proteins, such as NFE2L1/NRF1, and recruitingthem to specific DNA-binding sites. Interacts with the upstreampromoter region of the oxytocin receptor gene (PubMed:8932385,PubMed:16549056). May be a transcriptional enhancer in the up-regulation of the oxytocin receptor gene at parturition(PubMed:10527846). {ECO:0000269|PubMed:10527846,ECO:0000269|PubMed:16549056, ECO:0000269|PubMed:8932385}. | Membrane-associated protein kinase that phosphorylateson serine and threonine residues. In vitro substrates includeDRG1, ENO1 and EIF4EBP1. Also autophosphorylates. May be involvedin secretory vesicle trafficking or intracellular signaling. Mayhave a role in regulating stromal-epithelial interactions thatoccur during ductal morphogenesis in the mammary gland. May beinvolved in TGF-beta signaling. Able to autophosphorylate on Tyrresidue; it is however unclear whether it has tyrosine-proteinkinase toward other proteins. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:10364453}. |
Retention analysis result of each fusion partner protein across 39 protein features of UniProt such as six molecule processing features, 13 region features, four site features, six amino acid modification features, two natural variation features, five experimental info features, and 3 secondary structure features. Here, because of limited space for viewing, we only show the protein feature retention information belong to the 13 regional features. All retention annotation result can be downloaded at . * Minus value of BPloci means that the break pointn is located before the CDS. |
