Key regulator of the Wnt signaling pathway, which isrequired for various processes during development, such as dorsalpatterning, determination of left/right symmetry or myelination inthe central nervous system. Acts downstream of Wnt ligands andupstream of beta-catenin (CTNNB1). Required for canonical Wntsignaling pathway during patterning in the dorsal spinal cord bypromoting the aggregation of Disheveled (Dvl) complexes, therebyclustering and formation of Wnt receptor signalosomes andpotentiating Wnt activity.
