Acts as a magnesium-dependentphosphatidate phosphatase enzyme which catalyzes the conversion ofphosphatidic acid to diacylglycerol during triglyceride,phosphatidylcholine and phosphatidylethanolamine biosynthesis inthe reticulum endoplasmic membrane.
