Q12857

Negatively regulates leptin receptor (LEPR) cell surfaceexpression, and thus decreases response to leptin. Negativelyregulates growth hormone (GH) receptor cell surface expression inliver. May play a role in liver resistance to GH during periods ofreduced nutrient availability. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:18042720,ECO:0000269|PubMed:19907080}. Recognizes and binds the palindromic sequence 5'-TTGGCNNNNNGCCAA-3' present in viral and cellular promoters and inthe origin of replication of adenovirus type 2. These proteins areindividually capable of activating transcription and replication.
