Involved in an inositol phospholipid-based intracellularsignaling cascade. Shows no PLC activity to phosphatidylinositol4,5-bisphosphate and phosphatidylinositol. Component in thephospho-dependent endocytosis process of GABA A receptor (Bysimilarity). Regulates the turnover of receptors and thuscontributes to the maintenance of GABA-mediated synapticinhibition. Its aberrant expression could contribute to thegenesis and progression of lung carcinoma. Acts as an inhibitor ofPPP1C. {ECO:0000250, ECO:0000269|PubMed:17254016}.
