Inhibits DNA replication by preventing the incorporationof MCM complex into pre-replication complex (pre-RC). It isdegraded during the mitotic phase of the cell cycle. Itsdestruction at the metaphase-anaphase transition permitsreplication in the succeeding cell cycle. Inhibits the transcriptional activity of a subset of Hoxproteins, enrolling them in cell proliferative control.
