Substrate recognition component of a SCF (SKP1-CUL1-F-box protein) E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complex which mediatesthe ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation oftarget proteins. Probably recognizes and binds to phosphorylatedtarget proteins during skeletal muscle atrophy. Recognizes TERF1.{ECO:0000269|PubMed:15531760}. Promotes angiogenesis and the proliferation ofendothelial cells. Able to bind to endothelial cells and promotecell proliferation, suggesting that it may act in an autocrinefashion. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:14961121}.
