Converts lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) into phosphatidicacid by incorporating an acyl moiety at the sn-2 position of theglycerol backbone. Acts on LPA containing saturated or unsaturatedfatty acids C15:0-C20:4 at the sn-1 position using C18:1-CoA asthe acyl donor. Also acts on lysophosphatidylethanolamine usingoleoyl-CoA, but not arachidonoyl-CoA, and lysophosphatidylinositolusing arachidonoyl-CoA, but not oleoyl-CoA. Activity towardlysophosphatidylglycerol not detectable.{ECO:0000269|PubMed:21173190}. Testis-specific potassium channel activated by bothintracellular pH and membrane voltage that mediates export ofK(+). May represent the primary spermatozoan K(+) current. Incontrast to KCNMA1/SLO1, it is not activated by Ca(2+) or Mg(2+).Critical for fertility. May play an important role in spermosmoregulation required for the acquisition of normal morphologyand motility when faced with osmotic challenges, such as thoseexperienced after mixing with seminal fluid and entry into thevagina. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:23129643}.
