Histone methyltransferase. Methylates 'Lys-79' ofhistone H3. Nucleosomes are preferred as substrate compared tofree histones. Binds to DNA. Ornithine decarboxylase (ODC) antizyme protein thatnegatively regulates ODC activity and intracellular polyaminebiosynthesis and uptake in response to increased intracellularpolyamine levels.
