PRELID1

Q9Y255

Involved in the modulation of the mitochondrialapoptotic pathway by ensuring the accumulation of cardiolipin (CL)in mitochondrial membranes. In vitro, the TRIAP1:PRELID1 complexmediates the transfer of phosphatidic acid (PA) between liposomesand probably functions as a PA transporter across themitochondrion intermembrane space to provide PA for CL synthesisin the inner membrane. Regulates the mitochondrial apoptoticpathway in primary Th cells. Regulates Th cell differentiation bydown-regulating STAT6 thereby reducing IL-4-induced Th2 cellnumber. May be important for the development of vital andimmunocompetent organs. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:18945965,ECO:0000269|PubMed:21364629, ECO:0000269|PubMed:23931759}.
